Parts 4-6

Summary: This is in response to the report that one of the girls on Popular will be pregnant for real.
Author's Note: Story was written last summer. It doesn't include any of season 2.

Carmen sobbed uncontrollably, "What am I gonna do?" she cried. Once again Sam and Lily tried to console her.

"You could start be telling Josh," Lily said.

"Why would I tell Josh?" Carmen asked.

"He was you're last boyfriend," Lily answered.

"So? Me and Josh were never-" she stopped suddenly. She never told them and never wanted to. Right now it seemed she had no choice.

"Carmen?" Sam said.

Carmen ran her fingers through her hair.
"Josh is not the father," Carmen said and paused.

"Then who is?" Sam asked seriously.

Carmen took a deep breath.
"Harrison."

"What?!" Lily and Sam said shocked in unison.

"When did...? Huh?" Sam said.

Carmen looked down.

"About three weeks ago. He was over at my house and we were having a serious talk. I was saying how my life is going all wrong and he was trying to cheer me. We kissed. My parents weren't home and we ended up together. He's the only person I've ever been with," Carmen explained.

Sam and Lily slowly digested the information. Carmen and Harrison were going to have a baby.

"Does he know?" Sam asked.

"No," she answered.

Monday was pure chaos for Carmen. Sam and Lily knew what was going on. She had to tell Harrison. She couldn't wait for lunch. She had to tell him while she still had the strength to. Third period she spotted Harrison John drinking from the water fountain.

"Harrison," she called.

He looked up.

"Hi Carmen."

"I need to speak to you... now," Carmen said.

She pulled him into the janitor's closet.

"Look Carmen, I completely understand what you're feeling," he said.

"You do?" she asked.

"I understand if you think this whole thing was a mistake. And I'm fine with that. If you don't I'll be more than fine with that too-"

"Shut up," she said.

"Huh? I'm lost," he said.

"This whole thing was a mistake-a big mistake. Harrison, I'm pregnant," Carmen confessed.

"You're whaaat?" he said. He almost passed out.

"Harrison, are you alright?"

"A-Are you sure?" he asked.

"Positive."

On Mondays Carmen always met with her music group at lunch. Other musicians at Kennedy High. She escaped the tense lunch.

On the lunch line all Harrison could think is 'I'm going to be a father.' He was terrified. He was completely numb. He made his way to his table. Again there was no conversation. The silence was deafening. A few minutes later he decided to speak.

"So do you guys know?" he asked Lily and Sam.

"Know what?" Sam asked innocently.

"About Carmen," he said.

There was an awkward silence.

"Yes," Sam said.

Harrison looked towards the window.
