Max Evans closed his locker. He didn't feel right today. He couldn't clear his thoughts of what he realized yesterday night. He began to walk to his next class when someone tapped him on his shoulder. He turned around.

"Hi," Liz Parker greeted him.

He wasn't really in the mood to talk to her.

"Hi," he said politely. When he saw her smile slightly his features softened.

"So did you hear about the addition to the menu?" she asked.

"The Alien Blood shake? Yeah," he said and started walking.

"You should try it sometime," she suggested, "As a matter of fact, today free samples are being given out."

"Uh-huh," he mumbled not very interested. He got to the door of his class. He saw Tess in the room looking over some class notes. He never really thought of her as the studious type but she always caught on to things quick. His thoughts shifted to the role she played in his life and his past one..

"So I'm gonna go..," Liz trailed off.

"Huh?" Max questioned and averted his glaze to Liz.

"I said I'm going to go to my class," she said. She looked at him and then looked at where he was looking.

"Okay," he said.

She walked away slightly defeated. Max sighed as he walked into the classroom.

"Hi Max," Tess said to Max as he passed by to his seat. She never looked up from her notes.

"Hey Tess," he said and took his seat. He was to the left of her and one seat behind.
