Author's Note: It may be awhile before I finish this one. It's the sequel to She Left In The Middle Of The Night. This will be a long story but I don't really have time to write another long series. This one is taking a backseat to "If Not Destiny..." and "So Far Away".
Disclaimer: Not mine! (r u nuts?)

Tess looked out the window into the endless desert. She remembered when she passed this stretch of highway to Roswell. The scenery had gotten dull after awhile but she couldn't get over the fact that it was where the others lived. All that excitement and anticipation and things turned out drastically different than anything she could ever imagine.

She looked over to her husband, who was driving. He met her eyes. A smile lingered on her lips. She turned her head to peek at the backseat. Their son, Dylan was sleeping. He had been excited about this trip for days. He wanted to see the 'capital of aliens' as he calls it.

When she sat back in her seat she got nervous about coming back. Coming back to the place she left 9 years ago. She would have avoided it all together if Jake's aunt didn't live in Roswell. After putting it off for years they finally decided to visit. Tess hoped she wouldn't see the others knowing that Roswell wasn't the biggest town. But after all these years, what's the worst that could happen?

"We'll be there in less than a hour," Jake told her, snapping her out of her reverie.
